After performing to a full house, receiving a standing ovation and garnering rave reviews at the 13th South Asian Theater Festival, ICS Theatre is back with Rakt Phera!
It is with immense pleasure that ICS Theatre presents to its audience this masterpiece theater by renowned playwright and director, Sahitya Akademi Award recipient, Mahesh Dattani.
“Rakt Phera”, is a Hindi adaptation of Federico Garcia Lorca’s Spanish classic, “Blood Wedding”.
This Hindi adaptation of Lorca’s bold and timeless play, by Abhinav Grover, transposes the story beautifully to a colorful Indian desertscape. Staged as envisioned by maestro Mahesh Dattani, Rakt Phera is sure to be an immersive experience lush with music, movement, and poetic storytelling.
The play will have English supertitles.
